Bühl's uncertain future weighs on Bayern attack despite extension

German international Klara Bühl said in the Frauen‑Bundesliga match for FC Bayern Munich that her future after the contract that expires next summer is open, even though she only extended her contract in Munich in March 2025, keeping the team’s attack still in focus.

Since the contract extension in March 2025, a possible departure in the summer has become a hot topic of conversation. Bühl therefore faces the decision of whether to continue representing the Bavarian capital or to seek a new challenge.

Contract and possible departure

The 25‑year‑old forward emphasizes that “everything is open” and she can imagine any option. Her current contract expires in the summer, so a move without a transfer fee would be possible.

Foreign interest remains high

Barcelona already showed interest when Bühl previously considered a move, and continues to monitor the situation. English clubs are also following the development, as the German international could move on a free transfer.

FC Bayern sporting director Bianca Rech confirms the high interest: “She is one of the best players right now. I think every club is interested.”

In the current season, Bühl has recorded twelve goal contributions in ten league matches – five goals and seven assists – keeping FC Bayern’s attack alive.

All three internationals, Selina Cerci, Vivien Endemann and Carlotta Wamser, moved to England last summer, while Elisa Senß went to Real Madrid. National team coach Christian Wück expressed at a DFB press conference concerns that players must get playing time and coaches must be convinced of their quality.

Next Saturday, the team will again need Bühl’s offensive qualities in the Bundesliga home match against Eintracht Frankfurt, as the Munich side struggles to create chances against deep‑defending opponents.
