Bournemouth asks around £100 million for Alex Scott, with Chelsea and Liverpool also taking part
With a price of around 100 million pounds (about 120 million euros) Bournemouth are open to selling their 23‑year‑old midfielder Alex Scott in the upcoming winter transfer window. The young Englishman recently made his debut for the national team and is already attracting interest from several big clubs.
Interest from the traditional top‑six
According to the BBC all six traditional top clubs of the Premier League have made contact, with Chelsea and Liverpool being mentioned most prominently. Manager Andoni Iraola, former Bournemouth coach, knows Scott inside and out.
Scott rejected two contract offers at the end of last season, after which Bournemouth long maintained that he was not for sale. Now the club seems to realise that a departure can no longer be prevented.
The Cherries would only let the player leave in the summer if they are fighting relegation, the British broadcaster reports. Bournemouth are currently eighteenth in the Premier League.
Scott moved from Bristol City to Bournemouth in 2023 for around 23 million euros. In three seasons he played 95 matches, scored seven times and provided as many assists. His contract runs until the summer of 2028.
