Bosz refuses to adapt: PSV steps into fire with Leipzig

PSV continues on Tuesday its Champions League campaign with a visit to RB Leipzig, while coach Peter Bosz makes clear that he will not make concessions to his style of play and is determined to always go for the win. He emphasizes that the team will not be distracted by the home advantage of the German opponent.

Bosz sticks to his own style

Bosz recalled that Leipzig on Saturday swept Eintracht Frankfurt aside with a convincing 6‑0 result. He also pointed to the 5‑0 against Hamburger SV and the 3‑0 victories over Borussia Mönchengladbach, and noted that such dominant results rarely occur twice in a row. ‘Fortunately you don’t see such a result often twice in quick succession’, the PSV coach explained at the press conference.

The German club shows a big difference between home and away; they often lose on the road, such as the recent defeat to Como. Bosz emphasized that PSV has for years not let itself be influenced by the venue and that he will always keep fighting for the win, regardless of whether it is at home or away.

PSV strengthens squad

PSV has also brought in a young reinforcement: Mikkel Bro Hansen now gets a Champions League spot, after Alassane Pléa has been out with a long‑term injury. The Danish striker replaces Pléa in the squad for the match against Leipzig.

PSV must be wary on Tuesday night of unpredictable RB Leipzig

The match kicks off on Tuesday at 21:00 at the Red Bull Arena. Fans can follow PSV’s European campaign via VI PRO, where analyses, profiles and interviews are available.

Bosz promises no chess match, but a ‘fire with fire’. ‘We have a way of playing and we will stick to it; I expect spectacle’, he said. He praised Leipzig’s high‑tempo football, but noted that the club still has young, talented players.

With this mentality PSV wants to neutralise Leipzig’s home advantage and continue the Champions League journey. The coach concludes with the promise that the team will always go for the win, regardless of the circumstances.
