Bosz expects spectacle and points to German playing style
During the press conference on Monday afternoon at the Red Bull Arena, Bosz said that the Germans now build out from the defence more than before. He believes this makes the match more dynamic, but stresses that PSV must adapt to the changing tactics of their opponent.
Bosz recalled last year's ‘flow’ season, in which PSV won almost uninterruptedly during the same period. He said: “The form you so desperately want sometimes appears out of nowhere. Last year it was indeed like that and then you try to hold onto it.”
Extra striker and tactical choices for Tuesday
The clash is part of the League and gives PSV the chance to pick up points.
De Mos believes PSV can beat Leipzig and deflects criticism
The club has received UEFA‑approval to add Mikkel Bro Hansen to the list, replacing Lasso Pléa. The substitution gives Bosz an extra attacking option alongside the players already available.
The opponent returned last weekend with a convincing 6‑0 victory over Eintracht Frankfurt. Bosz noted: “Usually something like that doesn’t happen twice in a row, but we have to look at ourselves.” He also pointed to Leipzig’s home record of 5‑0 and 3‑0, while they sometimes lose away games, including against Como.
Without Ricardo Pepi, Sam Lammers and Pléa, Bosz expects Guus Til to lead the central attack, with Sven Mijnans right behind him. “They are football‑intelligent players who understand each other well. I have full confidence in them,” he said.
Lutsharel Geertruida is likely to return to the starting XI. Bosz praised him: “Luts has only been with us a short time, but he is an important link for our game. He can play centrally and on the right and is not an international for nothing. I am very pleased with him.”
