Borussia Dortmund reassures: Karetsas discharged from hospital
The young talent of Borussia Dortmund, Konstantinos Karetsas, left the hospital after circulatory problems that occurred during Tuesday’s Champions League match against Villarreal. The club confirmed that the exact cause of the illness has not yet been clarified and that the player, born in 2007, will be monitored before a possible return to the field.
The midfielder underwent medical examinations immediately after the incident; early assessments indicate that the condition does not raise particular concern. Borussia Dortmund clarified that it will continue to monitor Karetsas’s health status, without setting a date for his return yet.
For Karetsas, regarded as one of the most interesting young players in European football, it was a bitter debut in the Champions League. The club remains optimistic and states that, once the checks are cleared, the youngster will be able to return to contributing to the team’s sporting project.
