Bologna eye Dovbyk as Roma lock in Castro, reshaping attack plans
Bologna have signalled clear interest in Ukrainian forward Artem Dovbyk as Roma complete the signing of Argentine striker Santiago Castro. The Emilian club’s pursuit places them on the hunt for a new attacker while the capital side finalises its own deal.
Bologna’s management praised Dovbyk’s physical presence and goal‑scoring record. They deemed him a suitable replacement for the 2005‑born striker they are set to lose.
Negotiations for the Argentine striker are underway between the red and yellow (Giallorossi) and Bologna. The capital club’s talks with the Emilian side over Castro’s transfer form part of Bologna’s broader recruitment plan.
Radio Mana Sport reported that the red and blue (Rossoblu) are keen on Dovbyk, confirming the Ukrainian attacker is on his way out of Roma. The prospective Dovbyk move is unrelated to the Castro negotiations, meaning Bologna may add a new forward while Roma finalise the Argentine signing and lose the Ukrainian attacker.
