Bisiwu praises Raphinha and lauds his 100% effort

The 18-year-old Belgian winger Jesse Bisiwu enjoyed minutes at the Spotify Camp Nou during the Trofeu Joan Gamper and, facing the Belgium under‑21 squad’s training camp, declared that Raphinha always gives 100%, pointing to the player as his biggest inspiration.

Bisiwu arrived this summer from Bruges and signed with the blaugrana side until June 30, 2031, becoming one of FC Barcelona’s new prospects.

Adaptation and first contacts

The youngster explained that the reception has been excellent: “They have welcomed me very well, I have been able to talk with the captain and the coach and I have felt very good.” He also highlighted the opportunity to talk with the press, citing Laura Aparicio as the journalist who covered his arrival.

He joined the group during the St. George’s Park camp and carried out his first training sessions with his new teammates at the beginning of August, sharing the locker room with several members of the first team.

Raphinha, model of dedication

When asked which player has impressed him the most since his arrival at Barça, Bisiwu did not hesitate: “The player who has impressed me the most is Raphinha, his way of playing, the way he trains always giving 100%.”

When asked to name the footballer with the greatest technical ability in the dressing room, he replied: “I would say Pedri or Lamine.”

Bisiwu also highlighted his dual nationality, noting that, although he has Ghanaian heritage, he keeps his focus on Belgium and the under‑21: “Now I am focused on the under‑21.”

Marc van Bommel himself, the manager of the Belgian senior team and former Barça player, gave him a clear message: “He told me to be ready, that he sees me as ready, but we will see in the future.”
