Bielefeld extend home strength while Bochum snatch late win in Cottbus

In the Zweite Bundesliga Arminia Bielefeld celebrated a Heimsieg over Eintracht Braunschweig, securing a Polster that lifts them slightly away from the relegation ranks.
Nach dem Heimsieg the match opened with a minute of silence for the recently deceased Bielefeld youth coach Nico Bäumker.
Auf der Schüco Arena the hosts have continued their Serie, remaining unbeaten there since February.
Bochum clinch late victory
The VfL Bochum bejubelt a late Auswärtssieg at FC Energie Cottbus, moving ahead of the Lausitzer in the table.
Uwe Rösler’s side turned the momentum from their cup triumph over Mainz 05 into a 2‑1 win, their first league victory since early September.
Tolcay Cigerci gave the hosts an early lead from the penalty spot in the 21st minute.
Philipp Hofmann equalised in the 70th minute and substitute Christian Rasmussen secured the winner in the 88th minute.
In the first half Cottbus were the better team but generated few clear chances.
A foul by Bochum keeper Timo Horn on Lucas Copado produced a penalty.
After the break Bochum improved, though two of Hofmann’s goals were ruled out for off‑side and a strike from Justin Butler was also disallowed.
