Belgian FA prepares new cycle as Garcia exits, van Bommel in frame

The Belgian Football Association confirmed that Rudi Garcia is no longer the national coach of Belgium, with sporting director Vincent Mannaert issuing a statement that praised Garcia’s contribution and announced the search for a replacement, naming former midfielder Mark van Bommel as a possible successor.

"Rudi Garcia has absolutely contributed to the rehabilitation of the Red Devils. He was appointed as national coach in a difficult sporting and financial context," said Mannaert. The quote underscores the challenging environment in which Garcia operated.
