Bayern women clinch Supercup, Wolfsburg left with no chance
Under the floodlights of the Audi Sportpark in Ingolstadt, 8,680 fans – most of them having travelled the 45‑minute distance from Munich – watched FC Bayerns Frauen take the Supercup at Stand: 15.08.2026 • 22:00 Uhr, leaving Wolfsburg with no chance of lifting the trophy.
Bühl’s double seals victory
Klara Bühl delivered a brace, scoring in the added minute of the first half (45.+4) and again a minute later (46.), to give the Münchnerinnen a 3‑0 (2‑0) win in the Prestigeduell against VfL Wolfsburg. It was the third consecutive Supercup triumph in the Serie and the third Mal Bayern defeated the German Vizemeister.
The match marked the first time the Trophäe had been contested again after a three‑Jahren hiatus, underscoring Bayern’s Vormachtstellung in German women’s football.
Early drama and controversial goal
For half an hour the favored Bayern struggled, facing Probleme and a lack of clear chances. A disputed opening goal was awarded to Jovanna Damjanovic after video review, although VfL goalkeeper Stine Johannes had actually deflected the ball behind the line.
The incident highlighted the chaotic nature of the early Spiel, with Der Ball bouncing off the post before the referee signalled the goal.
Trainer José Barcala’s high‑pressing demands were evident, yet the Bayern side could not break into Wolfsburg’s defensive block until Bühl’s free‑kick found the net.
Wolfsburg’s resistance remained fierce, but within two minutes of Bühl’s second strike the game was effectively decided. The German side’s goalkeeper Johannes kept the score respectable, preventing a larger defeat.
Beyond the result, the Supercup serves as the first Pflichtspiel of the Saison, setting the tone for Bayern’s campaign and confirming their dominance over the past years.
