Bayern target Woltemade: Juventus must find €60m

Bayern Munich has set its sights on the young German striker Nick Woltemade, forcing Juventus to consider an offer close to €60 million to defend its signing. The attacking midfielder, who arrived at the black‑and‑whites in the last summer transfer window, has scored only once, in the Europa League match against Dutch side NEC, thanks to a penalty.

The market context

Bayern, already interested in the player according to ANSA, represents the main competition for the Old Lady, which has a right of first refusal should it match an offer from another suitor. The portal Football Insider reports that the Bavarian club has previously followed the path of former Wolfsburg and could become interested in Woltemade again next summer.

In the meantime, Newcastle United has sent Woltemade on a straight loan to Juventus for around €4 million, hoping the youngster can revive his form in Turin and then be sold permanently to the highest bidder.

Coach Massimiliano Spalletti is trying to slot Woltemade into the lineup, but the player still needs to cement his role in the Italian league.

Accordingly, Juventus will have to submit a very significant offer to retain the attacking midfielder's registration and counter Bayern's pressure.

Woltemade's future remains uncertain: the Old Lady will assess Bayern's proposal later on, while the German club appears ready to invest a substantial sum to secure the young talent.
