Bayern puts €95 million on Harry Kane's extension
Bayern Munich has reached an agreement to extend the 33‑year‑old English top striker Harry Kane until mid‑2029, reports the German branch of. The record champion paid €95 million in the summer of 2023 for the move from Tottenham Hotspur.
Kane must sign until mid‑2029, while his current contract expires next summer.
The record champion has, according to the club, achieved a ‘breakthrough’ with Kane. Coach Vincent Kompany regards the Englishman as indispensable and wants to keep him at any cost for longer. With Kane, Bayern have already secured two league titles and a DFB‑Pokal.
Impressive goal‑scoring record
Last season Kane scored 36 goals in 31 Bundesliga matches. This year he has already scored three times in four games.
During the international break with England he added four more goals. Sky reports that the talks are in the final stage and the parties have reached a headline agreement.
Although he did not win any trophies at Tottenham, Kane has already won two league titles, a DFB‑Pokal and two Supercups with Bayern. The club is therefore clearly investing in long‑term top quality, despite the high initial outlay.
