Bayern legionnaire Laimer returns to training after muscle tear
Bayern legionnaire Konrad Laimer completed his first team training on Monday at the ÖFB campus in Vienna after a week and a half. After overcoming an adductor muscle fibre tear, he is fit for the Nations League matches on Thursday in Dublin (8:45 pm) and on Sunday in Prishtina against Kosovo for the Austrian national team.
Horvath's muscle injury raises doubts
Sascha Horvath could miss out due to a muscle injury. The LASK captain felt pain in his thigh and had to cut the training short. The exact severity of the injury has not yet been clarified.
Michael Gregoritsch and Philipp Mwene, who were also injured, trained away from the group. However, both are expected to be available again for the upcoming Nations League games.
Christian Zawieschitzky and Vasilije Markovic have already left the A team. The two teenagers celebrated their debut on Sunday in a 3-1 victory over Kosovo at Vienna's Happel Stadium and immediately move to the U21 squad for the Euro qualification.
A total of fourteen players took part in the Monday session. The group included both returnees and players who have not yet fully recovered.
The matches in Dublin and Prishtina will be broadcast live on ORF 1.
Laimer's return strengthens the squad, while Horvath's possible absence tests the depth of the roster.
