Bayern keep eyes on Hajduk Split right‑back despite squad depth

FC Bayern Munich’s scouting network has kept the search for an Abwehr‑Juwel alive, with a Bayern‑Wechsel now reportedly focused on 20‑year‑old right‑back Luka Hodak of Hajduk Split, despite the German side’s already deep squad on the right flank. The club says it still eyes young talent with development potential.

Bayern’s official comment

Francesco Scaccianoce – UEFA/GettyImages captured the club’s own statement that “Der FC Bayern hat kaum noch erkennbare Schwachstellen im Kader, hält aber natürlich trotzdem die Augen nach jungen Spielern mit Entwicklungspotenzial offen”. The German phrasing underlines Bayern’s belief that its roster leaves little room for weakness.

Laut Informationen der kroatischen Sportzeitung Sportske Novosti haben die Münchner Rechtsverteidiger Luka Hodak genauer ins Visier genommen. The 20‑year‑old right‑back is currently plying his trade in his Heimat at Hajduk Split and is seen as an Anwärter for a move to a Top‑Liga.

Scout and rival interest

Ein Bayern‑Scout is reported to have flown to Croatia to monitor Hodak’s Entwicklung firsthand. Feyenoord Rotterdam has also been linked as a potential suitor, indicating that the Fährte is not exclusive to München.

Hodak, a Croatian U21 international, has already amassed 22 Pflichtspiel‑Einsätzen for Hajduk’s senior side. His Vertrag with the club runs until 2029, meaning any interested party would need to present a lukratives Angebot. Split plans to retain the Eigengewächs and would only consider a deal if the Ort and financial terms are compelling.

Bayern do not face an urgent Bedarf for a right‑back, with Konrad Laimer and Josip Stanisic both on long‑term contracts and Sacha Boey already providing a third option, albeit reluctantly. Nathaniel Brown could also be deployed on the flank if needed.

The interest in Hodak has been circulating since late 2025, when 90min first reported rumours of a Bayern‑Wechsel, though at the time a summer 2026 signing was not confirmed. The recent scout visit proves the club’s continued focus, and Die Möglichkeit of a transfer in the kommenden Sommer remains open.
