Bayern eyeing free transfer of World Champion Llorente – rumours flare
FC Bayern Munich News report rumours of a free‑transfer coup FCB: In Munich, FC Bayern Munich (FCB) is already examining in the summer the possibility of signing the 31‑year‑old Spanish world champion Marcos Llorente on a free transfer, after his contract with Atletico Madrid expires in 2027. The 31‑year‑old right‑back, who has made 308 competitive appearances for the Rojiblancos, could therefore provide a flexible option for the right defence, the central midfield or the attacking flank.
According to reports, the Spanish top club is working to make a new contract attractive to Llorente, because he was bought by Real Madrid in 2019 for 30 million euros and his current contract does not end until 2027. A possible elimination of the transfer fee makes the player especially attractive to Bayern.
Llorente, who contributed three appearances to Spain’s World Cup title in the summer, is considered a versatile player: he can be deployed as a right‑back, in central midfield or on the attacking right wing, covering three positions.
Bayern’s Plan with Olise and New Number
Karl Rummenigge talks about Bayern’s plan to slot Olise as a new number 2 for the right defence, should Llorente be unavailable. The former president emphasizes that squad flexibility is a central goal.
Kane’s stay at Bayern forces Barcelona to chase Haaland
Michael Ballack explains in the podcast that Lennart Karl, with his strong personality, embodies exactly what young players at FC Bayern need: “Lennart has a personality and that is very important. In an environment like FC Bayern you can’t make it at 17 if you don’t have a strong personality,” emphasizes the former professional.
Karim Adeyemi recalls his three years at FC Bayern Munich, which he spent as a youth player before moving to BVB in 2022 and now playing for Barcelona. “I was at FC Bayern Munich for three years and then was cut out,” he says, mentioning that he came into the youth department via TSV Forstenried.
Bayern’s Women in the DFB‑Cup after Setback
After the setback in the Champions League appearance against Manchester City, the Bayer women won the DFB Cup narrowly 2‑1 against Borussia Mönchengladbach. Klara Bühl describes the match: “It was very nasty, but the substitutions made it more structured. It was incredibly important to fly home with the victory here.” The defending champions thus showed that, despite the setback in the international competition, they continue to fight.
As Blick reports, Bayern remains active in the transfer market and is closely monitoring the possible free move of Llorente, while youth development and the women’s team’s successes remain in focus.
