Bayern crushes Union Berlin, Yamal becomes a troll's target

Lamine Yamal hadn't asked for anything, but he found himself at the heart of the Bundesliga match between Union Berlin and Bayern Munich on Friday. The 19‑year‑old Spanish winger from Barcelona was thus linked to an evening where the Bavarians dominated.

Yamal had no intention of getting involved in the game. Yet his name was mentioned from the kickoff, unintentionally placing him at the centre of attention.

A crushing defeat for Union Berlin

Union Berlin endured a nightmarish evening, suffering a heavy 0‑7 loss. The Bavarian domination left the supporters of the German capital without a response.

The Bavarians were driven by Michael Olise, who scored a hat‑trick, and Harry Kane, who netted a brace. Their play seemed devoid of any pressure.

Faced with this display of strength, Union Berlin's community manager chose mockery. He launched a trolling campaign on social media to digest the correction.

After Bayern's seventh goal, the club's official account posted an unexpected reference to Lamine Yamal, describing him as a "19‑year‑old little rogue from Barcelona". This remark came at a time when the debacle was total.

"This 19‑year‑old little rogue, couldn't he just shut his mouth? Kane and Olise are really on fire today and prove they have the material for the Ballon d’Or," wrote Union Berlin. The post directly echoed Yamal's recent statements about the Ballon d’Or race, turning him into a collateral victim of the Bavarian showcase.
