Bayern aim to keep Olise as Liverpool chase his right wing

German giants Bayern Munich are set to decide Michael Olise’s future by NEXT summer, while Liverpool’s Reds remain keen on the winger to fill the void left by Mo Salah’s departure. Bayern’s director Max Eberl said the club will know whether Olise intends to extend his contract, which runs until 2029, and Liverpool have spent £123 million on Bradley Barcola.

After confirming that the French‑Australian’s current deal runs until 2029, Bayern have made clear they have no intention of letting him leave this summer.

Bayern plan to lock in Olise

Max Eberl told CFBayernInsider, “At what price point would you consider selling Michael Olise? If you want to win the Champions League, that question doesn’t arise. That’s the beauty of Bayern Munich: you don’t have to waver, no matter the sum.”

He added, “Michael has made exceptional progress with us. He still has a three‑year contract—and I emphasise: without a release clause. We should know by NEXT summer whether he is leaning towards an extension.”

Liverpool target to replace Salah

After Mo Salah’s departure, Liverpool are missing a top‑class right‑winger and have long wanted Olise to fill that void.

Andoni Iraola’s front four currently contains three £100m‑plus players – Bradley Barcola, Florian Wirtz and Alexander Isak – highlighting the club’s appetite for elite talent.

Reports suggest Liverpool may have “cost themselves” an Olise transfer by spending £123 million, including add‑ons, on Barcola, a move that could complicate any future bid for the Bayern winger.

With Barcola now at Anfield, Liverpool may hope Bayern will insert a release clause into Olise’s contract, a development that would shape the transfer strategies of both the German giants and the English Reds.
