Barcelona's Casado offered to AC Milan as €20-30m sale target

🇪🇸
Barcelona midfielder Marc Casado has been offered to AC Milan as the club seeks to raise between €20 million and €30 million from his sale. Marc Casado, 22, was identified as a key figure by Hansi Flick upon the German’s arrival at Barcelona two seasons ago. The midfielder started three of Flick’s first four games before Marc Bernal suffered an ACL injury, forcing Casado into a more prominent role. With Frenkie de Jong also unavailable at the time, Casado stepped up and delivered strong performances that earned him a call-up to Spain’s senior squad. His influence waned after De Jong’s return, however, and Casado struggled for consistency in the following season. The La Masia graduate now faces the prospect of limited first-team minutes at Barcelona, prompting the club to consider a sale to secure his future elsewhere. AC Milan are among the clubs considering Casado, 22-year-old to the Rossoneri during broader discussions involving other players, including Gonçalo Ramos. Manchester United, Atlético Madrid, Monaco and Al-Hilal have also been linked with Casado, adding to the competition for his signature. Barcelona’s valuation of €20 million to €30 million could rise if multiple clubs enter the race, strengthening the club’s negotiating position. A move to AC Milan would represent a significant step for Casado. Serie A’s physical demands could test his endurance, but his intensity and positional discipline align with the demands of Italian football. The Rossoneri are still finalising their midfield plans, with Youssouf Fofana among those considered for a possible exit before any commitment to Casado. For Barcelona, Mendes’ involvement in drumming up interest is crucial. The club’s need for sales is acute, and Casado is one of the few academy players capable of commanding a substantial fee without compromising the first-team structure. AC Milan being offered Casado does not guarantee a deal. The club will assess their options carefully before deciding whether to pursue a serious bid this summer. The 22-year-old’s future remains uncertain, with several top European clubs monitoring his situation.
