Barcelona lock Raphinha into new deal as goal spree continues
At a members’ gathering at Camp Nou, Barcelona’s sporting director Deco stepped onto the stage to confirm that Brazilian forward Raphinha has signed a new contract extending his stay until 2030, after netting 14 goals in just eight league games this season.

Deco announced the renewal during the members’ event at Camp Nou. He told the audience, “Falando de renovações, também queria dizer que está bastante encaminhada a renovação de Raphinha. Posso dizer publicamente, acordamos entre ontem e hoje, a renovação de Raphinha por mais alguns anos.”
The sporting director added that the negotiation was finalised quickly behind the scenes. He said the agreement had been reached between yesterday and today.
Form fuels long‑term commitment
Raphinha’s current season tally stands at 14 goals from eight league matches, boosted by a hat‑trick against Sevilla on Saturday the 19th. The prolific output has accelerated talks on a longer deal.

In a Friday 18 interview with Catalan radio RAC 1, Raphinha said he has no intention of moving elsewhere and hopes to finish his career at Barcelona. “Espero poder terminar minha carreira aqui, sem ter que ir para outro lugar,” he declared.
He explained that his previous contract ran until 2028 because he was unsure how his body would cope after turning 30, but the early season form convinced him he can still perform at the highest level. “Sim, pretendo renovar. Quando renovei meu contrato, fiz isso até 2028 pensando que teria 30 ou 31 anos e não sabia como me viraria, mas, considerando como a temporada começou, parece que ainda tenho alguns anos pela frente e ficaria muito feliz em poder estender meu contrato,” he added.
