Barça head into Liga pause with 14 internationals away

Barça's women's side heads into the Liga pause with a five‑point cushion over Real Madrid after yesterday's 7‑0 demolition, while fourteen of its players – eleven from the first team – have been summoned for upcoming international duties this season.

The club's dominant display forced the domestic competition to halt, allowing space for the international calendar. As noted by Alberto Estevez of EFE, the break follows the 7‑0 triumph over Real Madrid. Como is usual for the Spanish league to pause for such fixtures.

International call‑ups

Barça has fourteen internationals on the latest call‑up list, eleven of whom feature regularly in the first‑team lineup. This tally underlines the Catalan club's substantial influence on the global stage and the depth of talent it supplies to national squads.

España remains the nation with the highest representation of Barça players. CON the senior squad, the following players are selected. The senior squad includes Cata Coll, Irene Paredes, Patri Guijarro, Clara Serrajordi and Clàudia Pina, the latter arriving as España's top scorer with eleven goals after yesterday's poker against Real Madrid.

Vicky López also earned a call‑up but withdrew due to discomfort, prompting Alba Redondo to take her place.

Upcoming international fixtures

The España side will face the United States in two friendlies on 10 October in Washington and on 14 October in Chester, broadcast on Teledeporte. These games serve as preparation for the 2027 World Cup in Brazil, for which España have already qualified.

España concluded its previous outing with a 6‑1 victory over Iceland, as reported by EFE.

The Barcelona B trio – Beatriz Pérez, Júlia Pastor and Lúa Arufe – have been called up for the España U‑19 side and will meet Sweden in two Los friendlies at Las Rozas on 10 October and 13 October.

Caroline Graham Hansen, Ewa Pajor, Esmee Brugts and Sydney Schertenleib are set for European World Cup play‑offs, with fixtures on 9 and 13 October against several PAÍSES and Países including Belgium, Norway, the Netherlands, Switzerland and others. Their objectives are to secure qualification for the 2027 tournament.

Por the double friendly, Kerolin Nicoli will feature in a double friendly with Brazil against Argentina on 10 October in Porto Alegre and on 14 October in Recife. Meanwhile, Kautar Azraf joins Morocco for the Africa Olympic qualifier against Congo on 9 October in Brazzaville, with a return leg on 13 October.

After the international break, Pere Romeu's side will resume league action against Real Sociedad in Donostia on 18 October.
