Barça Deco confirms Raphinha's extension until mid-2030

Barça Deco has announced that the Brazilian Raphinha is extending his contract with Barcelona at Camp Nou until mid‑2030. Technical director Deco said this during a meeting with the socios, where he emphasized the long‑term commitment of the 41‑year‑old international.

Raphinha, under the guidance of Hansi Flick, has become one of Barça’s absolute stars. The club bought him in 2022 from Leeds United for around sixty million euros. The 29‑year‑old forward, who often plays as a deep striker after the departure of Robert Lewandowski, has already scored eleven goals and provided three assists in eleven appearances this season.

Young talent signs new contract

Alongside Raphinha, wing‑back Xavi Espart and midfielder Marc Bernal, both nineteen, are about to sign a new deal. Espart will receive a contract until the summer of 2030, while Bernal will stay for a year longer.

Deco stated: “We are advanced, we have agreed that Raphinha will stay with us for another four years.” The current contract of the 41‑year‑old Brazilian international ran until mid‑2028, meaning the new agreement extends the duration by four years.

The extension shows that Barcelona, despite the earlier investment of sixty million euros, continues to rely on its core players to maintain its competitive position in the Spanish league.
