Atlético Madrid continues to press for Bruges star striker Tresoldi

For Club Brugge, the Jan Breydel Stadium is in the shadow of a possible transfer, because Nicolò Tresoldi remains firmly on the radar of Atlético Madrid. The Spanish top club approached the young striker last summer, but the Belgian club keeps the captain under contract until mid‑2029.

Atlético's official bid and personal agreement

The Spanish club tried to bring the striker to Madrid last summer and would have gone quite far with the player himself. According to journalist Adrian Sierra, Atlético and Tresoldi even reached a personal agreement. During the last transfer window, Atlético placed an official bid for the forward.

The Jan Breydel Stadium became the decisive stage when Club Brugge rejected the bid. The club held onto Tresoldi, who is still under contract with the Blue‑Black until mid‑2029. This gives Brugge a strong negotiating position.

Earlier, AS Roma also reportedly expressed interest in Tresoldi with an amount of €35 million. That bid also proved insufficient to persuade Club Brugge to sell.

According to Adrian Sierra, the interest from Diego Simeone's side remains concrete. Atlético continues to monitor Tresoldi's situation, meaning a new attempt from Madrid in the future does not seem ruled out.

For Club Brugge, nothing changes for now; the long‑term agreement gives the Belgian club a solid negotiating position. Tresoldi remained last summer, despite foreign interest, at the Jan Breydel Stadium.
