Atalanta's €20m push for World Cup star Kerim Alajbegovic

Atalanta have prepared a €20 million initial offer, plus bonuses, for Bosnia’s World Cup hero Kerim Alajbegovic, signalling the Serie A club’s intent to bring the young attacker to Italy. The bid follows his standout performances for Bosnia at the FIFA World Cup and arrives as La Dea look to bolster their attack.

Atalanta have declared the pursuit of the Bosnian forward a priority as they look to reinforce their attacking options for the upcoming season. The club, known as La Dea, believes the Bosnian forward could provide the cutting edge they have lacked.

Negotiations are set to start with an initial €20 million payment, supplemented by performance‑related bonuses. Alajbegovic and his representatives have signalled willingness to join La Dea under this framework.

Alfredo Pedulla reported the teenager has rejoined German side Bayer Leverkusen, where his development continues. Bayer are expected to ask for a fee above Atalanta’s opening bid, potentially prolonging talks.

Milan advisor Zlatan Ibrahimovic has expressed personal interest, though the Rossoneri have not lodged a formal offer. Napoli investigated the player’s situation in April, while Roma, initially keen, have now turned to alternative targets.

Alajbegovic’s impact for Bosnia during the FIFA World Cup has raised his profile across Europe, making a Serie A move increasingly probable. If Bayer’s counter‑demand can be met, Atalanta aim to finalize the deal before the summer window closes.

The report was compiled by Kaustubh Pandey for GIFN, underscoring the growing attention on the Bosnian forward. His rising reputation continues to attract interest from multiple clubs.
