AS Roma seeks free reinforcement: Wilfried Zaha and Krépin Diatta

Ajax, PSV and Feyenoord must stay alert: AS Roma is still looking for reinforcements outside the transfer window and has focused attention on the free‑agent Ivorian Wilfried Zaha. The Italian club, known as the Giallorossi, continues to scour the free‑transfer market while the Dutch top clubs have to revise their own plans.

Zaha on the Giallorossi's radar

The Giallorossi have focused their search on the 33‑year‑old left‑winger Wilfried Zaha. The Ivorian is clubless after leaving Galatasaray on 1 July, having been loaned out several times since his transfer to the Turkish club in 2024.

According to La Gazetta dello Sport, Roma see Zaha as a welcome reinforcement for the flanks. The newspaper reports that the club regards the Ivorian as a direct option, now that he is free to join any club.

Other potential reinforcements

Besides Zaha, AS Roma are also looking at Krépin Diatta. The Senegalese left Monaco this summer on a free‑transfer basis and has not yet found a new club.

The squad, where Donyell Malen is also active, wants to clearly strengthen the flanks. Raphael Guerreiro is also being considered for the left‑back position; the Portuguese has been without a club since his departure from Bayern Munich.

The transfer market in Italy has been closed since Tuesday 1 September. However, free‑transfer players may be dealt with outside the window, allowing the Giallorossi to continue searching actively.

AS Roma continues to scour the market and will keep monitoring the mentioned players, as the club is clearly not yet done acquiring new talent.
