Arteta opens door for Dowman's winter loan at twelve clubs
On Arsenal's training ground, one can see the young attacking talent Max Dowman running his laps concentrically, while head coach Mikel Arteta makes notes in the background. As TEAMtalk reports, Arteta is fundamentally willing to loan Dowman in the second half of the season once a suitable offer arrives.
The 22‑year‑old left‑foot could be eligible for a move from the end of December, giving him the chance to get regular playing time in the second half of the season. Arsenal, however, will only loan him if a suitable opportunity arises; a final decision is still pending.
Twelve clubs show interest
Several clubs have already made contact with the Gunners. Among the twelve listed interested parties are Cardiff City, Norwich City, Burnley, Wolverhampton Wanderers, Luton Town, as well as the Scottish traditional clubs Celtic and Rangers.
It remains unclear which club might secure the deal. Arsenal emphasizes that a possible transfer depends on the suitability of the offer rather than mere demand.
So far, Dowman has made 15 appearances for Arsenal's first team. In the 2025/26 Premier League season he scored one goal in six matches and most recently demonstrated his goal threat in the League Cup against Ipswich, netting two goals in 90 minutes.
Football FanCast draws parallels to Harry Kane, who also gathered valuable playing experience through several loan spells in the EFL before rising to stardom. Whether Dowman will follow that path remains uncertain.
