Arsenal set £60 million tag for Gyokeres as striker vows to stay

Arsenal have set a asking price of at least £60 million for Swedish striker Viktor Gyokeres, yet the forward insists he is delighted at the Emirates Stadium despite a season that has seen him feature for just 29 minutes in the Premier League.

Arsenal’s valuation and market interest

The Gunners have made clear they will only consider a permanent transfer, demanding a fee in excess of £60 million – roughly €70 million – and have ruled out any loan move. Italian outlet TuttoJuve Juventus and AC Milan are eyeing a 2027 deal for the 28‑year‑old, but the required outlay could strain their budgets. Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano added that clubs from Spain showed interest last summer, yet Arsenal consistently replied that Gyokeres was “not for sale” and that they trust him to stay.

Gyokeres’ season so far

Gyokeres arrived at Arsenal in the summer of 2025 from Sporting CP for an initial £55 million fee and repaid the investment by netting 21 goals and three assists in 55 appearances as the club clinched the Premier League title and reached the Champions League final. This season, however, his involvement has dwindled to six appearances, with only 29 minutes of Premier League action recorded. The man knows his next chance will be closely scrutinised by supporters and the coaching staff.

Player’s stance and future outlook

Speaking while on international duty with Sweden, Gyokeres said, “For me, staying was a given. I’m extremely happy at the club,” adding that a full pre‑season left him “fully focused on Arsenal”. He acknowledged the limited minutes, insisting, “I want to play football as much as possible and hope that will come”. The striker also praised his dialogue with Mikel Arteta, stating, “It’s good, I just try to do well when I get the chance and score goals”, while leaving the possibility of a move in 2027 open if a “right club with big money” appears.
