Arsenal secures £70 million Emirates deal two years early
Arsenal have agreed to extend their shirt sponsorship and stadium naming‑rights with Emirates, finalising the deal two years ahead of schedule and raising the annual value from £45 million to around £70 million, with bonuses of up to £15 million linked to on‑field success.
The club views the increased revenue as a vital financial boost after a strong season of progress on and off the pitch. It hopes the extra funds will support further transfer activity before the summer window closes.
The existing agreement, worth £45 million a year, runs until 2028 and would have taken the Emirates partnership to 22 years. The stadium naming rights were first secured in 2012 and the kit deal in 2023, both set to expire in two years, prompting Arsenal to negotiate a simultaneous renewal.
Outgoing chief commercial officer Juliet Slot sealed the extension as one of her final acts at the club, and she is scheduled to leave later this year after overseeing the commercial strategy.
Sam Wallace reports for The Telegraph that the new arrangement could be worth around £70 million plus bonuses of up to £15 million, depending on Arsenal’s success in domestic and international competitions. Gary Jacob of The Times echoed the same financial estimates.
The deal ensures Emirates retains the naming rights for the stadium and the front‑of‑shirt sponsor for both the men’s and women’s teams competing in the Premier League, reinforcing a 20‑year partnership that the airline chose to deepen rather than hand over to a rival.
Official comment from either side was declined, but the reports suggest a significant financial uplift for Arsenal and a continued high‑profile platform for Emirates, with both parties awaiting formal confirmation.
