Arsenal's turnaround against Leeds – Xhaka loses, Manzambi provides assist
In the 6th matchday of the Premier League Arsenal turned the game against Leeds around within eight minutes, while Granit Xhaka's Sunderland at home had to accept a clear defeat. The Gunners benefited from a late turnaround, while the Swiss in midfield under Xhaka could not pick up a point.
Arsenal's late turnaround
After a goalless first half, James Justin put Leeds ahead in the 55th minute, which briefly put the Gunners behind the Swiss Noah Okafor and Nico Elvedi in second place. However, Riccardo Calafiori (62') and Bruno Guimaraes (70') turned the match plus action in favour of the Arsenal side.
Sunderland remained pointless as Granit Xhaka saw his team lose to Brighton 0-2. Maxim de Cuyper put the visitors ahead in the 53rd minute, four minutes later Pascal Struijk had to leave the field, and Jaouen Hadjam sealed the result in stoppage time.
Brutal Mikel Arteta decision leaves Arsenal ticking after Leeds win
In the 2-2 against Brentford Johan Manzambi provided the decisive assist for the home side's second goal. His pass was converted by John McGinn, who therefore restored the lead for Aston Villa in the 77th minute.
