Arsenal offers Rice €400,000 per week
Arsenal and their defensive midfielder Declan Rice are close to a new contract, reports the BBC. Since March 2026 the Gunners and the Englishman have been at the table to extend the current agreement, which expires in mid‑2028. The club want to keep the player, who came in the summer of 2023 from West Ham United for more than €115 million.
Financial details of the new contract
According to the BBC the new contract would give Rice a weekly salary of €400,000. Currently he earns €283,000 per week, an amount that is already below teammate Bukayo Saka’s €413,000. The Gunners want Rice’s remuneration to rise towards Saka’s salary, although the exact figure is not yet known.
This season Rice featured seven times for Arsenal and provided two assists. In total he has played 165 matches for the Gunners, scoring 21 goals and delivering 33 assists. For West Ham United he recorded 245 appearances, and he has eighty caps for England.
The negotiations are nearing their end, but the precise amount remains unclear. If the clubs reach an agreement, Rice would become one of Arsenal’s highest‑paid players.
