Arsenal gossip: Premier League watches Jules Kounde at Barcelona

Jules Kounde, French defender #23 of Barcelona, watched from the bench during the Spanish League match between FC Barcelona and Deportivo Alaves at the Camp Nou Stadium on November 29, 2025, according to AFP via Getty Images. His lack of minutes has sparked interest from several Premier League clubs.

Premier League Interest

Sport newspaper indicates that Arsenal, Manchester City, Liverpool and Manchester United are closely monitoring the player's situation, while Chelsea has also been repeatedly mentioned in recent years. The five Premier League giants are considering the possibility of a transfer if Kounde continues not to play.

Kounde said over the weekend that Hansi Flick had left him on the bench and admitted being below his level, but he assured that he will work to reverse the situation. He also reiterated his intention to fulfil the contract that runs until 2030.

Although the defender has never hinted at wanting to leave Barcelona, the rumor of a possible departure intensifies as long as his playing time remains limited. The press notes that his future will continue to be a topic of conversation if the lack of minutes persists.

In 2022, Kounde turned down a Chelsea offer to stay at Barcelona, demonstrating his commitment to the Catalan club. However, the constant monitoring by the Premier League keeps speculation about his future alive.
