Arsenal eye Pio Esposito, Inter extend youngster's deal until 2032

The Inter striker Francesco Pio Esposito is at the centre of two opposite scenarios: Arsenal, the Gunners, have sent scouts to Bursa to observe him, while Inter have extended his contract until 2032 with a salary of around €2.7 million net per season.

Arsenal intensifies the search

ARSENAL IS LOOKING FOR a striker and the Gunners sent a delegation to Bursa during the Turkey‑Italy match. The main objective was to watch Arda Güler, but the focus was on PIO ESPOSTO, according to TeamTalk. The interest is driven by the fact that the club plays in the Premier League, where Manchester United also closely follows the youngster.

The London club, led by Mikel Arteta, has already tried to sign a striker in the last summer window and intends to try again next season. Among the names already linked to the Gunners are Julian Alvarez, Erling Haaland and Nicolò Tresoldi, as well as Pio Esposito, who appears on the list of potential signings.

Francesco Pio Esposito has scored his sixth goal in 12 appearances for the Italian national team, showing a good eye in front of goal. In Serie A he has already added two goals in the first five matches, confirming his ability to find the back of the net at club level.

Italian resurgence presses Turkey and puts the Red Devils under pressure

Inter blocks the transfer

Inter has responded to interest from clubs such as the Red Devils and Barcelona by offering the youngster a significant renewal. The new contract has been extended to 2032, with a salary improved to around €2.7 million net per year.

This move is a clear message to Arsenal and the other suitors: Inter wants to secure Esposito’s talent for the future, preventing his development from being interrupted by an early transfer.

Italian dominance in Bologna puts pressure on the Red Devils' chances

The contrast between the Gunners’ active search and Inter’s decision highlights two different approaches to the market: on the one hand the desire to invest in a promising youngster, on the other hand the strategy of consolidating the squad before letting go of a future star.
