Antwerp eyes Nederlander Reedijk after Beveren triumph

🇧🇪 By 4AllFootball Editorial ·

Antwerp FC are weighing the appointment of 34‑year‑old Dutchman Marink Reedijk, referred to as the Nederlander Reedijk, as their next head coach, according to a report posted at 12:12 Vandaag on VIDe. The Belgian side have placed the Dutch manager high on their shortlist following his unbeaten promotion campaign with SK Beveren.

De Belgische club has the Nederlander high on its list, and the information was supplied by Joost BlaauwhofJournalist.

Reedijk impressed at SK Beveren by leading the club unbeaten to promotion, meaning the team will compete at the highest level in België this season.

Reedijk announced his departure a while ago and can move to Antwerp, but the deal is not yet final.

The former youth coach of Ajax and West Bromwich Albion arrived two years ago from Anderlecht's youth setup, spent two years as assistant at Vitesse under Thomas Letsch and Phillip Cocu, and previously worked half a year at KSV Roeselare.

Antwerp previously broke with another Dutchman, Joseph Oosting, appointed in November 2025, who left after missing European football; he coached 26 matches in België, winning eleven of them.

The club’s decision on Reedijk remains pending, as the appointment is still not finalised.
