Anderlecht race to sign 23‑year‑old Huskovic as rivals close in

Under the floodlights of Grbavica stadium, under a chilly evening sky, representatives from RSC Anderlecht and Swedish side Kalmar slipped into the crowd last weekend, watching Željezničar take on Zenica Čelik. Their mission was clear: to scout a promising striker while the match unfolded.

RSC Anderlecht has endured an exceptionally busy transfer window, adding a whole starting eleven of new faces. Yet veteran scout Sibierski and his team refuse to rest on their laurels. The club continues to hunt for further reinforcements.

According to Klix Sports, both the Kalmar delegation and RSC Anderlecht officials were present at the Grbavica stadium for the Željezničar‑Zenica Čelik fixture. Their presence suggests a focused interest in a trio of Željezničar players who have excelled this season. It is possible that additional scouts from other clubs were also in attendance.

The trio – Aldian Korora, Eldar Dragović and the 23‑year‑old striker Muharem Huskovic – have all impressed, but Anderlecht’s primary target is Huskovic. The Austrian youth international, who arrived from Blau Weiss Linz this summer, has already made a strong impact in Bosnia and Herzegovina.

Kalmar are not the only suitors; other clubs have also been described as ‘pirates on the coast’ eyeing Huskovic. Transfermarkt values the Austrian at €250,000, a figure that could rise if his performances continue.
