Amorim urges Milan to change after loss while Allegri eyes crucial Napoli clash
Ruben Amorim, Milan manager, told reporters on the eve of the Lecce game that the squad must "change the next match" after a defeat, while Massimiliano Allegri, Napoli coach, warned his side of a difficult encounter with Fiorentina that could decide the first mini‑cycle of the season.
Amorim’s message to Milan
Speaking at a press conference before Milan travel to Lecce, Amorim said, "When you lose, you are not the same person. If you stay the same when you lose, something is wrong in you. When you are competitive, you like to win." He added that the team is ready for the upcoming fixture and that "we cannot change the past, but we can change the next game, and we are focused on that." The manager stressed that he talks to his players even after defeats because "there is a lot to improve".
Allegri prepares Napoli for Fiorentina
Massimiliano Allegri, Napoli’s head coach, addressed the media ahead of the match against Fiorentina. He admitted that "in percentages I struggle and make a mess, but we are growing" and highlighted the boost from the recent victory over Bologna. Allegri warned that Fiorentina arrive after a strong win and a Coppa Italia round‑of‑16 success, noting their "excellent technique, speed on the flanks and two different centre‑forwards". He called the game "one of the four or five most important of the season" because it offers a chance to close the first mini‑cycle and set up a positive run into October.
The Napoli boss also mentioned that the fixture in Florence is always tough and that his side must deliver a "beautiful performance" to stay on track in the league.
