Champions League
Amelia puts Bayern and PSG in pole position, but Inter stays doubtful
Marco Amelia has compared two scenarios in the race for the Champions League: on one side the certainty of Bayern Munich and Paris Saint‑Germain as the main contenders, on the other the difficulty of placing Inter among the favorites. The former goalkeeper, interviewed by SportWeek, highlighted Bayern's solidity and Vincent Kompany's defence, but described Inter as “complicated” to consider among the favorites.
The two European powers according to Amelia
Amelia stated that Bayern Munich has a solid team, strong in individual moments and with great international experience, capable of taking the scepter away from the Parisian side. He also emphasized the quality of Kompany's players, specifically mentioning Harry Kane and Michael Olise as world‑class talents at the club's disposal.
Regarding Paris Saint‑Germain, the former goalkeeper identified them as the defending champion and one of the teams that can truly win the Champions League this year.
Inter, according to Amelia, has a large squad that allows them to go further, but it remains difficult to rank them among the favorites. He also recalled that Barcelona and Real Madrid will also be protagonists, demonstrating the complexity of the predictions.
