Allegri outlines Napoli-sterkhouders future as Noa Lang returns
Massimiliano Allegri, the newly appointed head coach of Napoli, said on his first press conference that Noa Lang will return from his loan at Galatasaray and that several Napoli-sterkhouders are expected to join the squad in August, including Lukaku, De Bruyne, McTominay and Lang himself.
Allegri has been in charge of Napoli since this month and immediately turned his attention to the club's transfer plans, signalling a proactive approach to rebuilding the roster.
Noa Lang ends his season‑long loan at Galatasaray and will re‑join the Italian side, giving the Dutch winger another chance to prove himself in Serie A.
The Italiaanse coach stressed that he wants to see his players at work before making any decisions on potential transfers, emphasizing performance over speculation.
"Winning or achieving goals is not easy. Therefore we must always start the year assuming nothing is guaranteed, despite the success of the past two years," Allegri said during the press conference.
"I learned from an old coach: before you see the players you cannot train them. It is always very difficult to judge from the outside. I keep that in mind. Wednesday I start and we must first get to know each other," the 58‑year‑old Italiaan added.
Allegri confirmed that Romelu Lukaku and Kevin De Bruyne are scheduled to arrive on 5 August, and that McTominay and Noa Lang will also join the squad on the same date, completing the first wave of new arrivals.
