Alaba chooses Udinese while Eriksen leaves Wolfsburg

While David Alaba signs his contract with Udinese, Christian Eriksen terminates his partnership with VfL Wolfsburg with immediate effect. The Austrian travels to Italy to complete his medical examination, while the Danish player wants to be closer to his family in Denmark.

Udinese has officially confirmed Alaba's arrival and reports that the medical examination and the subsequent formal steps have now been completed. Fabrizio Romano previously reported that the Austrian had been in the rumor mill for weeks about a top transfer. The deal will be formalised shortly.

VfL Wolfsburg and Christian Eriksen have mutually agreed to terminate the contract early. In a press release the club stated: “It is important for him at this moment to be closer to his family in Denmark.” In addition, Wolfsburg thanked the Danish player for his time in the green‑white.

Alexander Blessin has signed a contract until 2028 with Borussia Mönchengladbach.
