Aina models Nottingham Forest’s 2026/27 away kit for a fresh season
Nigeria international Ola Aina helped launch Nottingham Forest’s new adidas away kit for the 2026/27 season, a move the club announced on its official website on Saturday. While the kit signals a fresh visual identity, Aina’s on‑field record – 18 Premier League appearances and a goal against West Ham – underlines his growing influence.
The club stated, “Nottingham Forest is delighted to reveal its adidas Away Kit for the 2026/27 season,” and added that the design brings back the adidas trefoil, uses a collegiate green colour, and features an all‑over printed graphic with embroidered trefoil and the iconic three stripes. Collar and cuff piping give the shirt a dynamic, tailored style.
Collegiate green shorts and socks complete the 2026/27 Away Kit, which will be worn by Forest Men’s, Women’s and Academy teams. The colour scheme pays homage to the club’s name and heritage while providing a unified look across all squads.
Supporters will see the new kit in action for the first time on the evening of 8 August, when Forest compete in the inaugural Friuli Venezia Giulia tournament at the Bluenergy Stadium against Udinese Calcio and FC Barcelona.
Aina’s involvement goes beyond modelling; as a Nigeria international, he was front‑and‑centre at the launch event, linking the club’s heritage with its global player base.
He joined Nottingham Forest on a one‑year contract on 22 July 2023 after his release from Torino, made his debut on 12 August in a 2–1 Premier League loss to Arsenal, and scored his first Forest goal on 5 November in a 2–0 win over Aston Villa at the City Ground.
The club activated a one‑year contract extension for Aina on 21 May 2024, and his first Premier League goal of the 2024–25 season came on 2 November in a 3–0 home victory over West Ham, a result that lifted Forest to third place in the league.
On 7 July 2025, Aina further extended his stay until the summer of 2028, a move confirmed by James Agberebi. The parallel of a stylish new kit and Aina’s contractual commitment highlights a season where Forest’s visual renewal and on‑field ambition are tightly intertwined.
