Agent slams limited minutes for Werder Bremen talent after cup cameo
In the closing stages of the transfer window, 20‑year‑old striker Salim Musah found himself at the centre of debate after entering the DFB‑Cup match against Lüneburger SK Hansa in the 84th minute, a brief cameo in Werder Bremen’s 3‑0 victory.
Agent criticises limited minutes
Musah’s representative, Danny Bachmann, told that the amount of playing time he received does not match the agreements previously reached with the club. He added that Musah had already demonstrated his quality during pre‑season and in everyday Bundesliga training.
The young attacker had already featured in the professional squad last season and scored his first Bundesliga goal in his third league appearance. During the preparation for the new campaign he remained part of the expanded first‑team group.
Recent signings have altered the situation. The return of Niclas Füllkrug and the arrival of Cedric Itten give coach Daniel Thioune two experienced options for the attacking centre.
Against Lüneburg both Füllkrug and Itten were preferred over Musah, who only entered late in the game.
Whether this will lead to concrete discussions about a possible departure remains unclear; no specific desire or negotiations with another club have been reported so far.
