Adi Hütter enjoys luxury of two in‑form strikers at Eintracht
In the buzzing arena of RB Leipzig, coach Adi Hütter surveyed his options before the Saturday top‑flight clash, smiling at the luxury of having two in‑form German national team players ready to fire who have already found the net early this season.
Burkardt and Ebnoutalib have each enjoyed a strong Start, contributing a combined seven season goals for Eintracht Frankfurt.
Luxury of choice
“You can consider yourself lucky as a club coach to have options and strikers who not only have a good Start but also fit well together,” Hütter said before the Leipzig match. “But a coach must always stay flexible.”
Hütter stresses that Uzun needs build-up work before the Leipzig clash
In the previous league game against SC Freiburg, which ended 2‑2, Hütter fielded the duo together, each netting a goal before they departed for the DFB.
Post‑break considerations
The first match after the three‑week international pause will feel like a restart for club managers, Hütter explained. The break benefitted national team coaches, but left club coaches with a ‘luxury problem’ of bench options. He hinted that his choice may depend on deploying a three‑ or four‑man attack.
Ebnoutalib celebrated his first two appearances in a DFB shirt, while Hütter used the occasion to speak with young Turkish striker Can Uzun, who returned to Frankfurt after two of his country’s four defeats. “Four losses and the criticism affect you,” Hütter said, adding that the youngster needs support after an unpleasant experience.
