Adeyemi credits Flick for Barcelona move
Karim Adeyemi has credited trainer Hansi Flick with playing a key role in his decision to join Barcelona. The German speedster was presented as the club's second signing on Thursday.
Adeyemi is the second attacking reinforcement for the Spanish champions, joining for over twenty million euros from Borussia Dortmund. The 24-year-old German has signed a contract until mid-2031.
Earlier in the transfer period, Anthony Gordon was signed for a substantial eighty million euros.
For Adeyemi, his compatriot and trainer Flick was a crucial factor in his decision.
Adeyemi can play in all positions in the front line and has stated that he has no preference.
'I have spoken a lot with Flick and trust him completely. He has told me his expectations and can count on me to give everything next season,' Adeyemi said.
'I want to give everything. Flick has told me that the club feels like a family. I am looking forward to starting the preparation,' Adeyemi added.
Barcelona begins the season on August 23 with a match against Elche.
