€7m market tag fuels Hoffenheim’s pivot to Slovak winger Leo Sauer
€7m is the current estimated market value of Slovak winger Leo Sauer, following Hoffenheim's shift after their oversized offer for former Wolfsburg attacker Adam Daghim was rejected, Sky Germany reports. The 20-year-old has already agreed to personal terms, and the Bundesliga club sees him as a key left‑flank option.
Following the rejection of their oversized bid for Adam Daghim, Hoffenheim redirected their focus to Leo Sauer. The Slovak winger, formerly of Feyenoord, is now the club’s primary target.
The Bundesliga outfit has already agreed to terms with the 12‑times‑capped international. Sauer’s versatility on the left flank is a key factor in the deal.
Transfermarkt lists his current market value at €7m. This valuation underscores the financial commitment Hoffenheim are prepared to make.
Other clubs have shown interest, but Hoffenheim’s deeper pockets give them an advantage. The German side can offer the youngster a chance to elevate his status within the Bundesliga.
Sauer is seen as a better Bazoumana Touré replacement and can operate as an inverted winger, a deep‑seated ten, or a short striker, similar to Newcastle United’s recent signing. His ability to work primarily on the left‑hand side differentiates him from Daghim.
Sky Hoffenheim do not intend to sign both Sauer and Daghim, meaning interest in the latter will likely evaporate. The likelihood of the Sauer transfer being completed is assessed as strong.
