€160 million hurdle looms as Arsenal eye Vinicius Junior

A €160 million price tag now hangs over Vinicius Junior as Arsenal eye the 27‑year‑old Brazilian winger, while Real Madrid’s Spanish giants insist the fee is non‑negotiable and his contract at the Bernabeu remains unsigned, leaving the London club in limbo over his future.

Within the past 24 hours doubts have intensified over Vinicius’ future at Real Madrid. The Brazilian winger’s contract remains unsigned, prompting renewed speculation about his next move.

Arsenal have registered serious interest and say they would act if the player becomes available later this summer. The London side views him as a potential replacement for departing attackers.

Real Madrid officials have responded calmly, noting that less than 12 months remain on his current deal. They stress there is no guarantee a new agreement will be reached.

The club has also made clear it is not prepared to meet the demands set by Vinicius and his representatives. This stance adds pressure to the ongoing negotiations.

Should talks stall, Real Madrid may organise a sale this summer to avoid losing the Brazilian on a free transfer. The club prefers to secure a fee rather than see him depart without compensation.

According to Sport, any exit would only be considered if a package valued at €160 million or more is offered. This figure matches the asking price Arsenal are aware of.

The next few weeks are crucial as Vinicius will return to the Bernabeu after an extended break linked to his involvement in the 2026 World Cup. Talks are expected to resume then, while the anticipated signing of Yan Diomande is seen as a possible pre‑emptive move, though the aim remains to reach an agreement.
